Q: Why you love photography? A: I LOVE photography because I get to stop a moment in time and create a memory forever! My clients become my friends… It’s so fun to see them come back time after time. I LOVE to watch them change and grow year after year. The other thing is most of the time people are having fun when I’m shooting them….I get to be around smiles all the time! I call my job “party hopping”.
Q: when will we get to see my photos and how many images are there? A: I always edit in order that the photos were shot (including my family events) I usually have something for you to see in 2 weeks sometimes sooner and on a busy month maybe 3 weeks... but not normaly now about the number of photos - I have a VERY heavy finger and LOVE to take lots of photos.... But not everything comes out~ you should expect between 80 and 150 images and on AWESOME shoots where everthing is going perfect sometimes up to 200.

Q: do you take Credit Cards? A: Sure I do i have Square its really cool attaches to my phone and I can use it on location.
Q: do you shoot family photos on the weekend? A: I don't have many weekends open for family photos because I book up with events, but yes I do a few a year - if you need to shoot on the weekend, no worries PM me for dates.
Q: we have a new puppy can we bring her for family photos??? A: YES YES YES!!! there is no better time then doing photos with the new 4 legged family member. contact me when you bring the baby home.

Q: I just got my prints from XXXXXXXX and they are bad! I used the disk that I bought from Studio KYK . what is wrong? what should I do. A: Im so sorry the prints are bad. Bummer is, its kinda out of my control. It could be do many things, uploading wrong, incorrect settings, cropping, bad quality printer, bad ink.... among others. I wish I had a better answer but next time print with me!!! When you print with Studio KYK, I proof EVERYTHING, I have a relationship with my vendors and ONLY use QUALITY vendors, that way I can make sure that there is 100% sanctification. i know it sucks but you pay for QUALITY!

Q; what age is it best for newborns... A: my vote is seconds old... I love birth! i know that you mean at home photos.... Right? well it really depends on what you want to capture.... 1 to 3 weeks ~ sleeping baby 6 weeks ~ smiles 6 months ~ sitting up it just gets more fun the older they get!!!
Q: is there a deposit to hold dates? A: i do need a $100 deposit to hold the date remaining $ due at time of shoot.
Q: how do you feel about cheese??? OMG I love Brie, blue cheese, Oh wait you were not talking about that kinda cheese hu? so when kids say Cheese.... hee hee so here is the deal~ i like to get {real expression} from my small friends, when you say cheese the kid freezes! Q: I just got a deal on Groupon/Canvas on Demand/Social living its 16x24 and I want to put that family photo I love on it, can I buy the digital file??? A: Oh Grouopn/Canvas on demand or social living .... UUUggggg I HATE it when t I see email like this.... because I dont like my answer but here it is..... The Canvas on Demand, Social living, and Groupon deal can be "quantity not quality"... that is the idea of selling it for so cheep.... you get what you pay for. I have no idea what will come back. Then if it's CRAP it has my name on it and I have worked too hard to have crap for a finish product. .... a 16x24 image is BIG and I NEED to make sure it looks AWESOME!!! I have seen LOTS of &^%$ out there when it comes to canvas, I work with 3 different vendors choosing may favorite products from each to get the best product. if you still what to use the groupon deal here is an option.... I sell the rights to digital files in 2 sizes 1. prints upto 4x6 images 2. prints upto 8x12 images you can make a college like above of photos on your 16x24 canvas but not 1 large image. because all prints larger then 8x12 have to be printed through me for quality control. if you purchase a disk and decide to print with a vendor other then Studio KYK, I assume NO responsibility for the product you receive so anyway the moral to the story is Groupon is not as sweet as it seems ...... sorry to be the one to deliver bad news.
Q: will you shoot in the rain? A: Oh I LOVE to shoot in the rain! If you are in... Im game!!!

Q: Oh geez. Can you photoshop the wrinkles and thin me out a bit? A: I can outsource a picture or two to a company that offers correction services that will cost about $50 an image to remove wrinkles and artificially slim a waist. Those are not typical Studio KYK services so this will be in addition to your investment with Studio KYK.

Q: I really want you there for the birth of my baby.... A: yes, Im on call 24-7 and will be there 99% of the time~ As you start going to the Dr. in the last few weeks you just have to let me know what they say and I will arrange to be there. Im usually there 1-2 hours before birth and 1-2 hours after to get all the 1st in life. after the shoot you will get a DVD (8x12 Med reso images) for a keep sake on this special day
Q: what is a good time to do my belly photos??? A: it's totally your choice, we all have different ideas of when we look good~ Some people want their belly to be small and cute for the photos, while other want to wait as long as possibel to get the BIG belly... so between 5-7 months is usually good.
Q: What if I am having a c-section… A:Every birth experience is worth photographing.... most of the time the hosipital will allow me into the OR, but it has happened I will do my best to ge in if not there are still many important moments I’m able to capture during this amazing day.

A: I have the AWESOME access to 2nd photographers when needed, I have in the past worked with 2 photographer assistants and feel that i can work better with my client if it's just me! Q: how much more for mini shoot to add 1 toddler and a dog? A: It's not as much about the price, but more about what we can get in the time of the mini shoot.... that's a lot of eyes in 20-30 mins... call me and we can chat about your family.
Q: can we do out family photos at 1pm??? A: if you want family photos with bad lighting sure.... Actually... the lighting is the key to my success with photos... I strongly recommend that we shoot 1 hour after sunrise or 1 hour after sunset.
Q: I'm looking to get a new camera, what is my best buy for my money and where should I get it??? A: Cameras and lenses are like cell phones, they get new product all the time and I cant keep up! :) My best advice is to go to Action Camera in Rosville. they are VERY honest and I totally TRUST them. tell them what you want, your budget, and they will get you the goods that are the best .... FYI I started with a Canon Rebel 9 years ago.... and also know the canon 7D at costco is a good option.
Q: how many can I have in my mini shoot? A: mini shoots are good for 1-5 people. the smaller the group the better, 25 minutes goes REALLY fast! and the more faces you have the faster the time goes.
Q: which finish should I choose for my prints? A: I have 2 options for print finishes luster or metallic the luster is the standard paper...its amazing! the metallic is pretty, it has a kinda glitter or sparkle to it. best when use and framed without glass. cont go wrong with either but NEVER GLOSS!!! gloss is for lips NOT prints.
Q: we got the 8x12 med res files, I just downloaded the images and wondering What is the expected resolution for the 8 x 12 images and where do do you suggest I print? A: Great question. Lots of people ask this, The 8x12 file is about 1600x1600 Pixels 300dpi and around 500KB. Not all files will be the same but they are in that range, they will print up to a 8x12 images on photo paper without cropping or zooming in. please note some vendors require higher res images for some special products and advised not to order if you see a res. warning. the 8x12 file is also great for web use. And the info for a 4x6 file, it's 1024x800 300dpi and about 210KB. Q: We want to buy the rights to all of them for $700 in the large size. The one family shot we want we would like to be able to print 16x20. Can we get it full size? A: Im glad you like then and want all of them - unfortunately I don't offer digital files larger then the 8x12 size due to quality control. I had issues like 8 years ago with clients using bad vendors and made this rule and have not wavered from it. I want to make sure ALL prints larger then 8x12 are approved by me from vendors I use making sure all prints are as good as they can be.
